The Golden Carrot

What is your dream? What makes your heart sing? What brings you joy? Few ever get to find out, but if you are one of the lucky ones, are you living your dream? Are you celebrating your Self and your Truth and expressing your gift in your life?

So often we can become caught up in a continuous loop of expectation and hope, tied up by duties and responsibilities, in fear of lack and in fear of letting go. As a result we cling on to what we know even though it does not bring us the joy that we seek and we keep those dreams dangling in front of us like gold-coated carrots hopeful that one day we will find a way to grab them and be them.

As we tentatively dip our toes into the pool of life so often we pull back as it feels too cold or too unknowable; our constant in and out movement takes energy and focus, and prevents us from ever really gaining the clarity we seek in order to make a decision about the path ahead. Instead, the in and out movement distracts us from Truth and keeps us locked in the cycle of lack and fear.

There comes a time when we have to make a choice to either leap into the pool of life with passion and belief or we step back and instead focus our energy on keeping on keeping on. To oscillate between the two is demoralising and life diminishing, for it keeps us in a constant state of reminding ourselves that we are not living our dream nor are we embracing the belief to take a chance to achieve it.

It can be easy to get lost in distractions in life: people to see, places to go and things to do, that we get caught up in the chatter of life and disconnect from our Truth. Sometimes the distraction becomes a comfort blanket of invisibility that we hide behind being ‘too busy’ to ever pause and reconnect to our dreams. As a result, we can become increasingly isolated and unfocused, struggling to keep on keeping on for we lose the passion that drives us forward leaving life feeling empty and hollow.

Many choose to become lost in the distractions through a fear of failure or even a fear of success, but many others simply lose sight that there is a ‘bigger picture’ and move through life heads down, never contemplating more. Those who are lucky enough to have found their Truth resonate a special vibration; one of knowing and one that emanates an intensity of belief and purpose. Their passion drives them forward as they let go of the distractions and allow their passion (their dream) to lead the way forwards; for them it is not about making millions but it is the joy of having the freedom to be their Truth that gives them the rewards of abundance, expansion, joy and Wholeness.

So often we hide ourselves away in fear, terrified of taking a chance on life, being paralysed by indecision and suffocated by caution. Whilst we do not want to be in such a place, it is hard to extricate ourselves from the power that this holds over us for our fears take over and keep us locked in a cycle of lack; we can see no way out of distractions for they keep our heads above water. And yet we do not want to keep our heads above water, we do not want to struggle and flail in the water just trying to survive, we want to soar like an eagle or dive like a dolphin.

This perpetual cycle of chasing dreams and dangling carrots amplifies our own feelings of lack and keeps us in a state of frustration. This is turn prevents us from embracing our Truth and opening up our hearts, minds and souls to not only living it but to being it as well. The time has come to have courage and to step beyond the boundaries of fear and caution in order to live a life well lived. If a dream is important then it is time to find a way to make it happen, if not then perhaps the time has come to set it free to break the cycle in order to welcome in the new?

Life is for living and not for hiding behind; the most important action that any one of us can take now is that of making a decision. To live a life in a state of disempowered waiting, hoping for our dreams to come to us could make for a long wait. Yet, when we shift the vibration and become our dream, then we are no longer disempowered but we are living, breathing and being true on all levels of our being.

So, be your Truth, be your dream and open up your heart and soul to the vibration of this in order to live the best life possible...

The Art Of Acceptance

The journey to Wholeness is one that we are all too familiar with; the desire to be Whole is with us always, shaping and defining our lives, driving our quests towards Truth and towards living consciously and vibrantly in the present moment. Part of the quest towards Wholeness comes in the form of healing the Self, for we strive to heal in order to feel Whole and complete. Whilst this is an understandable human need, the act of seeking healing can actually take us further away from Truth as it keeps us locked in a perpetual cycle of want; we can feel fragmented and disjointed, splintered into a million little pieces like tiles of a mosaic all jumbled up together in scattered heaps across the floor.

Intuitively we may sense that we are Whole, but healing, by its very nature can suggest a core belief where we believe that we are not Whole. Perhaps the time has come to shift consciousness away from trying to become Whole to instead accepting that we are already Whole? Of course, life may not be exactly as we would want it, but by chasing Wholeness, does that bring us closer to it or simply act as a constant reminder that we do not feel it? Sometimes, we have to shift our perception in order to shift our reality, and by opening up to Wholeness in this present moment, we are stepping beyond the constraints of linear time and instead embracing the vibration of already being Whole.

It may be hard to feel Whole when life is not ‘perfect’, but by focusing on heartfelt gratitude on all that we do have and on all that we are instead of becoming consumed by all that we do not have, we can begin to shift the vibration away from feeling broken (and needing healing) to a state of vibrant present-moment awareness where we feel Whole, wonderful and magnificent exactly as we are. This is our true state of being, and when we step into the Wholeness vibration, we open up to the divinity, wisdom and love within. We are divine souls, and the time has come to be Divine.

Many believe that illness and dis-ease, discord and imbalance are created by our beliefs and actions in life; we choose illness and therefore we can ‘un-choose it’ and heal. On many levels this is true, for we are all energy and therefore energy can be re-defined and re-shaped, but there is a risk that we can become so tied up in knots over the need to fix and heal that we forget the present moment and become stuck between the past and the future (trying to unravel the past in order to live a brighter future). Such actions are understandable, but by overlooking the present, we can lose the most precious gift of all; and that gift is acceptance. Acceptance is not about giving up, but it is about accepting the present moment in order to live fully within that moment.

Whilst it may be possible to heal all ills and re-balance body, mind and soul, if we wait until we have achieved this before we lift our heads above the parapet, then we miss life, for re-balancing is a force constantly at work. At the same time though, by seeking healing, we can begin to feel as though we are not good enough in this moment and this can take us further and further away from the Wholeness that we seek. It is the act of acceptance that can lead us deeper within; it can help us to make peace with those scattered heaps of mosaic tiles as we stop fearing or worrying about them but instead embrace them as key facets of the Self. To deny them is to deny our existence, but to accept them is not to give up and not bother to re-align or re-centre, but to accept that we are already Whole exactly as we are. This is hard to put into words, for it is a state of being, a state of knowing, whereby intuitively opening up to Wholeness in the present moment, we stop giving those mosaic tiles power over us and instead re-align at core level thereby feeling Whole and complete. We shift the vibration away from incompleteness to one of love, completeness and Wholeness.

We are each magnificent and vibrant souls, and we all have crosses to bear and challenges to face, but instead of feeling like we still have mountains to climb before we reach the promised land of living in bliss, by already seeing ourselves standing at the summit gazing tenderly down upon our Selves and our lives, we shift the dynamic of healing away from wanting to be healed to one of being healed.

Healing is not always about ‘fixing’ problems (ill-health, debt, pain etc), but it is about finding the power and strength from these in order to live a full and vibrant life. Of course, many do heal, but many do not (for a plethora of different reasons) and instead of feeling guilt or failure for this ‘inability’ to become Whole, it is important now to accept the gift that these problems have given us and embrace them as integral parts of the Self (and to accept that we are always Whole, it is just our perception that takes us away from this). This does not mean that we can never heal, but if we can stop gazing longingly into a future where we are finally able to live free and instead open us up to the joy of living consciously now, we let go of the guilt and find a new wave of passion and exuberance for life.

Acceptance may not eradicate life’s problems nor may it bring resolution to life’s challenges, but it does bring a sense of inner peace, and it is this inner peace that can help us to see life differently. Instead of fearing life and its challenges, we feel inspired and empowered, and realise that by feeling Whole in this very moment, everything changes, for fear is no longer in control...

Let Yourself Be Touched By The Magic Of Life

As the cycle of life continues to twist and turn, many of us have become so wrapped up in keeping on keeping on that we forget to pause every so often to remember that we are vibrant beings living on a vibrant, spinning planet. It is easy to get lost in the humdrum and chatter for this shapes and defines our lives on so many levels and in so many ways; we spend so much of our lives trying to be more, do more, see more, get more and achieve more that we lose sight of the joy both within and without.

In those moments when we do ‘remember’ to open our eyes and breathe, we feel a stronger connection to the Universe, for we re-connect our vibration to the Universal Whole, and instead of feeling like a lone fiddle player in the middle of a mis-matched and badly tuned orchestra, the notes begin to blend, merge and coalesce into the most beautiful and melodic masterpiece that re-injects the passion and joy for life into our hearts and souls.

Sometimes we need to step out of the flow of everyday life in order to ‘remember’ that we are vibrant, divine souls, for such awareness helps us to reconnect to the true wonder of being alive. We then feel a deep and profound inner warmth, a bit like a smile beaming radiantly from within, and this smile connects us even more intensely to the beauty both around and within as we let go of fear, pain and worry and instead open up to the gift that present-moment awareness brings us. Gratitude for life is important, for it breaks down barriers and interrupts self-negating storylines and patterns; the act of being wholeheartedly grateful for life helps us to realise that we do not have to keep on chasing happiness and we do not have to prove anything to anyone for we are already integral facets of the magnificent Universal Whole.

When we pause and open our eyes to the amazing, we open up our hearts and souls to the vibration of ‘amazing’ as well enabling us to expand our consciousness and embrace a more conscious and vibrant way of living and being.

As the daffodils gently bow their heads to the return of the light and the birds begin to share their beautiful songs to herald the coming of the Spring, it seems apt that we also lift our heads to celebrate the joy in the present moment. For some, on the surface, there may not be a great deal to celebrate and it can feel hard to feel joy as the pain is so deep and life feels so hollow, yet there are always things to celebrate: from the daffodils, to the birds, to the waves gently lapping the shore, to the majestic mountains reaching high up into the heavens. Nature is a magnificent and inspirational force, and connecting to this can help us to be truly touched by the magic of life.

Even if we only find a few moments each day to pause and connect, this act of opening up our hearts to the amazing Universe allows us to breathe more deeply and to feel fully integrated to the Whole. This expansive state of being takes us away from the storylines and the humdrum of life for it takes our awareness way and beyond the daily grind towards a bliss state that enables us to take a much wider perspective on life; sometimes we can become so entrenched in the humdrum that we lose sight of our dreams and of Truth, therefore, such moments of ‘re-connection’ act as powerful acts of re-alignment on the journey to Self.

Of course, this, in itself, doesn’t change anything but it does give us the inspiration and the power to re-define and re-shape our reality as we open up to what we truly want in life. Some then become lost in that space in-between where we are and where we want to be, not knowing how to step from one to the other, but in reality there is only one way and that is to place one foot after the other. Fear often takes over, for the unknown is so, well, unknowable, and this can keep many locked in the humdrum, terrified of taking a chance.

Yet, when we pause and allow ourselves to be touched by the magic of life as we connect to the amazing, the fear melts away and courage rises up from deep within. Of course, courage does not eradicate the fear, in many ways it amplifies it, but courage helps us to realise that life is for living. Caution is often the force that prevents us from living fully, for fear and angst are powerful motivators to remain unchanged, but when we re-connect to the Whole, we realise that we are the only ones who can step towards our dreams and make them reality; this takes courage and it takes faith.

We are already integral parts of a wondrous, magnificent and amazing Universe and we are already wondrous, magnificent and amazing exactly as we are. Yet, we still each have a choice as to what happens next: we can remain as we are or we can let the magic of life warm our hearts and souls as that inner smile radiates and amplifies as we step towards a brand new dawn...
